This is originally what I wanted to do but I'm stumped at the fact that we tried 3x to translate this design to the web and I just wasn't please with the web version.

I can relate. The company I work with and I came up with a nice design for our site but we couldn't execute it properly because we were using wordpress and weren't entirely familiar with it.
