Problem:
Simple, create a document that would outline how Depthskins' logo should be used. However, these documents go much beyond that in that it defines colour, typography, icons, and even our behaviour.
Solution:
A Brand Guide.
I went for a clean, simple layout for this and it somewhat matched the theme of the website for consistency.
Great editorial practice. The first one I did was different but I found after a couple weeks not looking at it, when I returned, I just wasn't feeling it. So I decided to use the letterhead layout which worked fine.
I remember reading UPS's brand guide once. I get chills up and down my spine just thinking about it. >_< X heights and distances from the edge of plane tails...oh god.
Yours is much more elegant.
