Re-design the current logo of DEPTHSKINS aiming at simplicity and professionality. Play with the word "depth" and try to communicate that as best as possible.
The idea behind the logo is fairly simple because thats the aim, to be simple and effective. The idea is to play on the word depth and represent it in an iconic way.
The vertical square represents a problem. The d represents DEPTHSKINS approach at solving that problem, starting from surface and going through the necessary steps to reach the almost perfect solution.
Theres no such thing as the perfect solution to any problem because everyone has their concept of that so the space at the bottom is our realistic attitude towards that fact. This can be taken on as negative but design really is subjective and if you think your solution is perfect, theres someone out there wholl think there's a better approach. Point is, the logo is to represent the fact that DEPTHSKINS does everything possible to meet that perfect solution if it ever exists.
Another reason for not placing the 'd' top to bottom as suggested by some is because it creates motion of going to the bottom to find that solution.
Changed the font for the type. It's now aligned with the logo. The size you're looking at is the smallest it'll ever be.
I'm not totally GREAT at logo design but when it's designing something for myself, I really feel I come up with good stuff. Now this is the first move of the branding exercise for DEPTHSKINS. What you can expect to come is as follow:
1. Brand Guide
2. Corporate Stationeries (business cards, letterheads, etc.)
4. Advertising Posters
Of course all this will take place over the next 6mths. It'll take some time to get completed but I'm re-branding DEPTHSKINS and the aim is to take it to another level.
