EndWar

Journal Entry: Mon Mar 24, 2008, 5:43 PM
Guys and Girls,

For those hard-core gamers (I'm not one) or those who just love FPS or those who're just fanboys of Tom Clancy, is this going to be a treat or what:

[link]

This game looks kick ass. If you haven't played Tom Clancy's game, run out, get Ghost Recon Advanced Warfare 2 and play. This game is so freakin good, I finished it 3 times in 2 weeks. Yea, that's right. What I loved about it is the futuristic technology, the AI and how I can control my squad.

End War seem to have taken this to 2 more levels by making you the General and now we're taking over countries, not cities. The only drawback I can see thus far for this game is that from the game play, I don't seem to get to go in the battlefield. If that's the case, MAJOR drawback because I love being in the field, kickin ass and shooting some people's head off. I wanna fly those choppers and blow some buildings up. I don't wanna be a sissy leader, safe in my little bunker sending my men to their death (yes, i know, it's just a game). With the voice commands, that's just sweet right there.

Best of all, the game has got story. All Tom Clancy's game has story. I've been playing Ghost Recon since the first installations and have finished all of Splinter Cell's installation except Double Agent. Nah, I'm not a fan of Rainbow six. And yes, i don't like Vegas. I bought the damn thing hoping I would and now it's just sitting there. I'm gonna trade it in.

But yea, EndWar people. AWESOME.

Oh, UBISOFT rocks. Apart from their Tom Clancy's franchise, they're the ones behind Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia. This french company has got Game.

Man, I'm still hoping to have a journal design soon. This is so lame.

Seriously, can anyone see a spoof for dA? Can you? I freakin love this. How cool is it that Facebook can make fun of their users to get MORE users? Tell me, you gotta love irony and I love these guys for doing this.

Goes some like:

I'm getting bored of deviantART
Damn crappy submissions and pageview whores
Stop spamming my fu**kin page

Care to add.... :D

Thanks for sharin arpad.

Sharing with everyone else and take no offence people, it's all fun and games.

Rippers! Rippers! When will dA protect us?

Journal Entry: Sun Feb 24, 2008, 9:30 PM
Update:
Gladly I'm a persuasive person and the work was removed within minutes after discussion. It seems that they were using the work as content filler, most designers know about that. However, I had to explain to him that dA is not a stock site and to let his designers know this. They cannot use work without credit or permission for whatever reason. They owner understood, apologized.

He said one artist cursed at him. I just want to let people know that even though you're pissed beyond explanation, there's professional ways to go about this and you harness more power and respect if you go about it professionally.

Thanks you.

Hey everyone,

This website was just brought to my attention: [link]

I want everyone to spread word on this site because basically what they did was come on dA and ripped everyone's work. All the work on the site are works I've seen on dA. Please spread the word and let everyone know and check whether their work is on there.

Deviantart gives us cool feature and a place to submit our work. When will they give us a feature to allow us to follow up on these issues through them? When will they protect us? Could they? If not, it makes you wonder why expose yourself to such problems.

dA is known for being a place where people come not for inspiration but to blatantly rip your work. This has happened over and over with people like crisvector, kwaku and others getting ripped on a daily basis and yet no steps are being taken to help artist and designers. I'm not blaming dA but if there was some system to help us, I bet people would think twice before the f**k around.

Well, I've given this guy 24hrs to take my work and my team-mates work off his site otherwise I'm pursuing legal actions. No one is going to make money off of my work I worked my ass off to learn and do.

With that said, the past week I noticed a bunch of spamming on my page. Once user even thanked me for creative work in a weird way and I assumed ripping. Here we are, ripping.

I'm really posting this so others can check because these people/person ripped at least 3 people from deviantArt.

(love firefox, browser crashed during this because of screengrab and I totally recovered this article.)

Coming Back

Journal Entry: Wed Feb 20, 2008, 8:00 AM
Do you guys know that I simply don't wanna post journal entries because I have no damn design? It's hilarious.

Anyway, plans for the future from a community perspective:

- Shaping Designers'Block into something that will be sought after on dA :)

- Bring DC back to life by re-shaping it and setting up, hopefully, a panel of leaders for it.

- Interviewing some industry professionals.

- Getting a journal design. :P

2007 In Review:
Last time I did a 2006 in review and it's Feb. and I haven't posted one. It's fair to say I've forgotten what I accomplished last year. I did get 90% of the things on my list done though.

If I have any advice to give is WRITE down your goals people, don't just think. Putting pen to paper for some magical reasons help you get your goals done. Well, I put paper to printer but you get the point.

In closing, I'm posting this mainly because I wanted to remove that last entry but yet didn't want to delete it.
