I just saw a post on TheRyanFord's journal that announce the release of a critique system:
forum.deviantart.com/devart/be…

This is unbelievable because I have an idea just like that for Designers'Couch, not just have but implemented it. It hurts and I mean it really fucking hurts to get beat to this feature because I personally think it's a progressive feature on designs sites that focus on constructive criticism rather than just, "nice design" type of comments. This is one of the things Designers'Couch is geared towards and I wanted to enjoy the glory of implementing such a feature.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad dA implemented this but just think if you had an idea and someone beat you to it. No one in the world is going to give you credit for it because you weren't the one to introduce it. Kudos dA! I do have a few testimony though because I invited a few beta-testers and if they bothered to check, they would have seen this feature.

I'm just pissed at myself and developers for moving so painfully slow on DC.

Anyways, check it out: forum.deviantart.com/devart/be…
Take part it in because it's a valuable feature addition.

Btw, does anyone know what is up with that symbol in front my username? It's usually associated with banned members.

I'm just gonna go and beat myself up some more. I deserve it.

DC IS coming though whether you like it or not.

I feel for you. Not the first time I've had an idea (though more related to writing than anything here on dA) that's been done before I can get to it, and I've been a bit frustrated with myself that I hadn't managed to get my version done first.

Don't give up, though. Just from a quick glance at DC, I think it'll still prove successful and useful. You can work with *devCRIT (possibly others if they're out there) to provide the kind of critique and serious community that's geared towards just designers, and I think it'll be handy to have that. I know I'd love some good feedback on my own designs (although, from the sound of it, I'm probably not one of the designers you'd be welcoming since I'm very much a hobbyist and amateur designer).

Good luck. ^^
